The Tesla jack pads protect the base plate of your Model Y and Model 3 when changing tires. The thick hard rubber jack pads insulate the jack from the Tesla body. In this way, scratches and damage can be avoided.
They are simply inserted into the holes at the bottom of the body and ensure that there is no direct contact between the jack and the Tesla's base plate. They are particularly useful if you change the tires on your Tesla Model Y or 3 yourself.
But even if you want to be sure that the Tesla will not be damaged when changing tires in a workshop, you can use the Tesla jack pads. Just tell the shop to use the jack pads. Most of them already know these.
The Tesla jack pads come in a nice case and can therefore be easily stowed away when not in use. They are then ready for the next tire change.
Here you will find the information on how to jack up your Tesla Model 3 and Y correctly in the Tesla manual .
